Rising Pakistan Movement extended heartfelt congratulations to all office-bearers elected in the National Press Club Islamabad elections for 2026-27, expressing hope that the new team will work tirelessly for the welfare of journalists and the advancement of the profession.

Bakhti Shah, Chief Organizer, along with Deputy Chief Organizers Rakhshanda Tasneem and Zahid Hussain Malik and the entire Rising Pakistan cabinet conveyed their warm wishes to the successful candidates and urged them to serve the press community without discrimination.

The statement noted that this year’s contest at the National Press Club was closely fought between the ruling group and a united opposition, with candidates from both sides securing positions. Such competitive elections were described as an essential part of democratic life within the journalist community.

The Movement also praised the spirit of acceptance shown in recent cycles, recalling how last year those in power welcomed the victors with open hearts, a gesture that strengthened political courtesy and the culture of constructive engagement in press circles.

Rising Pakistan Movement said its entire cabinet prays that the newly elected officials will put aside partisan differences, focus on members’ real needs, and use their energies to promote journalists’ welfare and the growth of journalism in Islamabad and beyond. The organization reaffirmed its readiness to support initiatives that enhance professionalism and unity within the press community.
