Nursery technicians and managers from Pakistan completed an advanced training programme at CIHEAM Bari as part of the OliveCulture Scale-Up Project, concluding intensive sessions on the production of certified olive propagative material. The course combined classroom instruction with practical, field-based exercises designed to improve standards in olive nursery production.
Participants practised certified plant production techniques, propagation methods and advanced agronomic practices to strengthen nursery operations. The training placed particular emphasis on producing reliable, certified propagative material to support future olive plantings and nursery quality control.
Certificates were formally awarded by Biagio Di Terlizzi, Director of CIHEAM Bari, recognising the technical skills gained during the programme. The initiative is expected to support Pakistan’s efforts to develop stronger nursery systems and wider adoption of certified planting material under the OliveCulture project.
