Rawalpindi Board Exams proceed under zero tolerance; authorities detained cheating candidates during Matric 2026 to protect merit and transparency.

On 8 April 2026 the Matric first annual examinations are being conducted across Rawalpindi under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the directives of Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat. Rawalpindi Board Exams are being overseen with an emphasis on peaceful and transparent conduct to safeguard results and public confidence.

Engineer Aamir Khattak, Commissioner and Chairman of the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, reiterated that examination SOPs will not be compromised and that a strict zero tolerance policy will be applied to any violations. A command and control room continues uninterrupted online monitoring of examination centres to ensure compliance with procedures and prompt response to irregularities.

During an inspection, Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited Government High School Ghora Gali, Murree, where three candidates were caught red handed copying. Cases have been registered against them and forwarded to the discipline branch for further action. Authorities stressed that operations against cheating networks will be conducted impartially to uphold merit and examination integrity.

Officials confirmed that Rawalpindi Board Exams will proceed with sustained enforcement and oversight, and that all necessary disciplinary and monitoring measures remain in place to ensure transparent and credible results for Matric 2026.
