Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, paid a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs and warriors of Maarka e Haq on its first anniversary, praising the courage and sacrifice of Pakistan Army personnel who defended the nation. He emphasized that the Maarka e Haq victory underlined the nation’s resolve and made clear that Pakistan will not compromise on its defence.
According to the FPCCI president, Maarka e Haq demonstrated Pakistan’s military and national strength in unmistakable terms, smashing hostile designs and earning the deep respect of the public. The people of Pakistan salute the heroes and the families of those who laid down their lives, and the nation remains grateful to the brave soldiers who secured the country’s borders.
Atif Ikram Sheikh highlighted the leadership of the field marshal and the sacrifices of the armed forces, saying the diplomatic and international benefits being realised today are direct fruits of that leadership and sacrifice. He called on citizens and business communities to recognise how the nation’s security achievements have reinforced Pakistan’s standing on diplomatic and global platforms.
Turning to the future, the FPCCI chief urged that the same unity, faith and sacrifice that won Maarka e Haq should now be channelled into winning the economic struggle. He stressed that the next priority must be economic stability and self-reliance, arguing that those who oppose Pakistan have long sought to weaken the country through economic means and that the nation must respond with cohesion and clear economic policy.
He argued that economic sovereignty is integral to national sovereignty and that a robust economy combined with strong defence guarantees a brighter future. Atif Ikram Sheikh called for policy continuity, facilitation of business, and national solidarity so that Pakistan can convert the triumph of Maarka e Haq into lasting economic resilience and honour the sacrifices of its martyrs in a tangible way.
