Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi held a commemorative walk led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman to honor the success and sacrifices associated with Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. Faculty members, administrative officers, students and employees participated to express solidarity with the armed forces and pay tribute to martyrs and national heroes.
The Vice Chancellor highlighted the exemplary courage, professionalism and steadfast dedication the armed forces have shown in defending the country. He said the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the military and takes immense pride in their sacrifices for Pakistan’s security and stability.
The university paid special tribute to the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, praising his visionary leadership and professional capabilities during Marka-e-Haq. The Vice Chancellor noted that under Field Marshal Asim Munir the country witnessed unity, resilience and renewed confidence, and that his leadership skills and military diplomacy are receiving exceptional recognition internationally.
Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman underlined the role of educational institutions in promoting patriotism, national unity and awareness among youth, calling on universities to nurture responsible citizens who value national integrity and contribute to Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
A flag hoisting ceremony was held and special prayers were offered for the peace, prosperity and security of Pakistan, and for the eternal peace of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation.
