The College of Medical Technology at PIMS organised the one-year commemoration of Marka e Haq at its auditorium, welcoming more than 600 children for the ceremony. The event was convened under the leadership of Prof Ayesha Isani Majeed, Principal of the College and Head of Radiology at PIMS.
Pairzo Achakzai, the vice principal, moderated the session while Prof Rana Imran Sikander, Executive Director of PIMS, attended as the chief guest. The proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and continued with a moving documentary produced by the ISPR that reviewed last year’s events.
In her address, Prof Ayesha Isani paid tribute to the valor and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, along with the Air Force and Navy, and acknowledged the role of the government in supporting national defence. Her remarks highlighted the local significance of Marka e Haq and the importance of remembering those who serve to protect the nation.
Prof Ayesha Isani made special mention of Field Marshal Asim Munir, noting his leadership during the ensuing war and the role such leadership played in guiding the country through a difficult period. She warned that the country would be vulnerable without its defenders and contrasted Pakistan’s standing with the ongoing struggle for identity in Palestine.
She also honoured the sacrifices of soldiers and martyrs who gave their lives to protect Pakistani citizens, and closed her speech by quoting Quaid Azam, saying “there is no power on earth which can undo Pakistan”. The program reinforced a message of national unity and respect for the armed forces.
The Marka e Haq event at the College of Medical Technology brought students and community members together to reflect on service, sacrifice, and national resolve, leaving a strong impression on the young attendees. Pakistan Zindabad
