Air Vice Marshal Sohail Akber, Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Squash Federation, visited the Punjab Squash Association accompanied by Air Commodore (R) Amir Nawaz, Secretary of the Pakistan Squash Federation. During the meeting with President Noor ul Amin Mengal a range of prospects for the development and promotion of Pakistan Squash were discussed with an emphasis on strengthening provincial infrastructure and talent pathways.
Also present from the Punjab Squash Association were Senior Vice President Sohail Khan, Secretary Muhammad Mansoor, Vice President Admin Mamoon Khan, and Treasurer Zeeshan Riaz, who contributed to the planning conversations around events and facility upgrades in Punjab.
The delegation inspected the Punjab Squash Courts and the squash facilities at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, where officials held detailed discussions about upcoming international events. It was agreed that WSF and PSA tournaments would be awarded to Punjab upon the completion of the Nishtar Complex, positioning the province to host higher-profile competitions and attract international players.
Air Vice Marshal Sohail Akber praised President Noor ul Amin Mengal for his efforts to promote squash and enhance the sport’s infrastructure across Punjab. As a gesture of appreciation and goodwill, a souvenir was presented to the President at the conclusion of the visit, underscoring a shared commitment to the future of Pakistan Squash.
