The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry leadership met with Brigadier Waqar Khan and CEO Cantonment Board Naveed Nawaz Naul at the SCCI offices to address pressing concerns of the local business community. Present for the chamber were President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, Senior Vice President Muhammad Murad Arshad, Vice President Salman Sheikh, business leader Raiz Uddin Sheikh, and Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Garrison HQ/Cantonment Board Affairs Khawar Spall.
Discussions focused on practical measures to enhance coordination, facilitation, and cooperation between Garrison Headquarters Sialkot, Cantonment Board Sialkot Cantt and traders operating within cantonment areas. Delegates exchanged views on administrative and civic matters that affect daily commercial activity and sought streamlined processes to minimise disruptions to trade.
SCCI President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar stressed the importance of institutional collaboration, noting that improved coordination between public bodies and the private sector is essential to resolving issues faced by traders and industrialists. He underlined that targeted cooperation would strengthen the Sialkot business environment and support sustained economic activity across the city.
Brigadier Waqar Khan and CEO Naveed Nawaz Naul assured the chamber delegation of their commitment to constructive dialogue and practical follow-up. Both officials pledged to work closely with SCCI to address identified concerns through clearer channels of communication and timely facilitation.
All participants agreed to maintain regular contact and pursue joint efforts aimed at business facilitation and development, with the shared goal of creating a more responsive administrative framework that benefits the Sialkot business community.
