On 18 June 2026 the Punjab government intensified measures to ensure exam integrity under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and the provincial education minister providing close oversight.
Commissioner and Chairman Engr. Aamir Khattak of the Rawalpindi Education Board conducted division-wide inspections, carrying out surprise visits to examination centres and strengthening administrative controls to preserve a transparent and reliable examination environment.
Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan carried out active field monitoring, visiting Government Islamia High School for Boys Chakwal and Government Girls High School No.1 Chakwal. During these checks an examiner from the Islamia High School computer lab was removed from duty, a mobile phone was seized and the case was forwarded to the discipline branch for further action.
Officials reviewed security arrangements, candidate facilities and implementation of a strict zero tolerance policy on malpractice. A command and control centre maintained continuous online monitoring of exam centres and ensured immediate response to any reported irregularities, reinforcing exam integrity across monitored locations.
These coordinated steps are intended to strengthen exam integrity across Punjab, improve administrative processes at centres and sustain focused operations against organised cheating networks while enabling students to sit examinations in a secure and fair setting.
