Misbah Khar advanced parliamentary diplomacy in Marrakesh, meeting leaders to discuss cooperation, digital transformation and youth engagement.

Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference, held a series of important sideline meetings with parliamentary leaders during the Fourth Edition of the PAM Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum in Morocco.

During her meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Morocco, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and deepen institutional cooperation between the two legislatures. The conversation also covered digital transformation, economic development and greater youth engagement, reflecting a shared interest in modern parliamentary practices and inclusive progress.

Ms. Khar also met delegates from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and representatives from other countries attending the forum. These discussions focused on parliamentary diplomacy, artificial intelligence, sustainable development, trade and investment, highlighting the growing role of parliaments in shaping dialogue on economic and technological change.

She briefed participants on the Senate of Pakistan’s digital modernization efforts and underscored Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary engagement on international platforms. Delegates appreciated Pakistan’s active role in global parliamentary forums and showed interest in expanding future cooperation.
