Maroof Community Camp in Islamabad offered free medical care, screening and medicines for children and staff at Pakistan Sweet Home.

In Islamabad, Maroof Community Camp brought free healthcare services to Pakistan Sweet Home through a joint initiative of Maroof International Hospital and the Royal Thai Embassy, offering much-needed support for children and staff under the Maroof Community Program.

The medical camp was held as part of the birthday celebrations of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana of Thailand, highlighting the shared focus of both institutions on community welfare, humanitarian outreach and accessible healthcare.

Doctors from MIH provided free consultations in pediatrics, general medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, nutrition and dietetics, and psychology. The screening results showed that many of the children were facing dental concerns such as cavities and vision-related problems, while a significant number also needed general medical and mental health consultations.

According to the assessment, around 60 percent of the children were found to have dental and eyesight-related issues, while nearly 40 percent required support in general health and mental wellbeing. MIH Pharmacy also distributed free medicines to all children and staff, ensuring that treatment could begin without delay.

His Excellency Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand, attended the event as chief guest and praised the effort for reaching underprivileged children. He said the camp reflected Thailand’s commitment to humanitarian service and community care, especially when linked with the celebration of the Queen’s birthday.

Chairman MIH Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed said the hospital would continue supporting orphaned and vulnerable children through the Maroof Community Program. CEO MIH Mr. Haroon Naseer also appreciated Mr. Zamurrad Khan for providing a caring environment at Pakistan Sweet Home and thanked the Royal Thai Embassy for strengthening the partnership.

The event ended with an appreciation shields ceremony, where the Royal Thai Embassy, Pakistan Sweet Home and MIH teams were recognised for their contribution to community healthcare and social wellbeing.
