Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, Consul General of Pakistan in New York, met representatives of the Brilliance Foundation and received a detailed briefing on the foundation’s educational and community development work in Pakistan. The discussion centered on a scholarship program being launched in partnership with the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which is aimed at helping deserving students continue their studies.
According to the briefing, the initiative will provide scholarships to 30 students from the 2025 batch for the full duration of their degree programs. Valued at around US$45,000 over three years, the scholarship program is designed to support orphaned and financially disadvantaged students who might otherwise struggle to access higher education.
The delegation also shared updates on the foundation’s online education and student support initiatives, which are intended to widen learning opportunities for young people in Pakistan. These efforts were presented as part of a broader commitment to educational access and community uplift.
Mr. Atozai appreciated the foundation’s role in advancing education and supporting underprivileged students. He also acknowledged the contribution of the Pakistani-American community in strengthening Pakistan’s educational and social development through such partnerships.
