“Sway”, released by PFF in partnership with Humnava, celebrates Pakistan’s football dream through music and culture.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), in partnership with Humnava, has announced the special release of “Sway”, a global music collaboration co-curated by acclaimed producer Xulfi, as the federation’s first national cultural moment.

Shot across the mountains of Hunza and the streets of Lyari, “Sway” brings together artists from around the world to give Pakistan’s football dream a global voice. The collaboration seeks to connect football, music and culture at a time when the sport is witnessing renewed momentum across the country.

According to the PFF, the track has emerged from the football community and serves as a soundtrack to the conversations, dreams and culture growing around the sport nationwide. It brings together two strong expressions of Pakistan: its cultural diversity and its enduring love for football.

The release comes after a significant period for Pakistan football. The national men’s team recently won the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament in the Maldives, defeating Afghanistan in the final. It was Pakistan’s first football title in 35 years and its first standalone tournament title in 74 years.

The women’s national team has also recorded a historic milestone by making its debut on the FIFA stage at the 2026 FIFA Series in Côte d’Ivoire, the first time Pakistan’s women’s team has featured at a senior FIFA-sanctioned event. The side began its campaign with an 8-0 win over the Turks and Caicos Islands, the biggest victory in the team’s history, and went on to finish third in the group.

Beyond the national teams, football continues to be played in neighbourhood grounds, schools, academies and communities from Lyari to Chitral, Karachi to Lahore, and Quetta to Gilgit-Baltistan. The sport is followed by generations of supporters who see it as a source of identity, aspiration and belonging.

Through “Sway”, PFF and Humnava aim to give this rising football culture a soundtrack and bring the wider football community into one national conversation about where Pakistan football stands today, the people who have carried it forward and the dream of where it can go next.

Mohsen Gilani, President PFF, said: “Pakistan’s football story belongs to every player, coach, supporter and community that has kept the game alive across the country. Our men’s and women’s teams are creating moments that are giving supporters new reasons to believe.”

Xulfi, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Humnava, said the dream of seeing Pakistan on the world stage grows stronger with every World Cup, upset, underdog moment and winning goal. He said music carries the same promise, with every raw voice, song and melody imagining itself reaching the world as the Voice of Pakistan.

Speaking about Lyari, Xulfi said the area had been home to both football and music. He referred to Better Future Pakistan going unbeaten abroad to lift the Norway Cup, and to Eva B and Kaifi Khalil rising from the same streets until the world listened.

He said football was more than a game and music was more than sound, adding that both showed how a place written off by others could still produce something that made the world stop and listen. “They’re a reason to forget our differences. A reason to share love,” he said.

The song features performers from around the world, reflecting the global aspirations of Pakistani football. The special version of “Sway” is available on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/reels/Dafg1CkAsaJ/.
