ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, has announced the annual examination results for Class 9 and Class 10 for the year 2026.
According to the results issued by the Federal Board, the passing percentage in the ninth and tenth classes stood at 91.33 per cent.
In the matric science group, Afeera Ijaz of Army Public School Pasban, Rawalpindi, secured the first position by obtaining 1089 marks. Amna Nauman of Army Public School, Muzaffarabad, stood second with 1088 marks, while Huzaifa Haider of Fazaia Inter College, Jinnah Camp, Rawalpindi, secured the third position with 1086 marks.
In the humanities group, Fatima Zahra of C.B. Public School and College, Wah Cantt, secured the first position with 1037 marks. Muhammad Muaz of the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Satra Meel, Islamabad, and Manal Zahid of D.H.A. Senior School for Girls, Lahore Cantt, shared the second position after securing 1031 marks each. Anisa Nisar of Pakistan Education Academy, UAE, secured the third position with 1023 marks.
Addressing the ceremony, FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik briefed the chief guest, Federal Minister for Education Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, about the examination system and congratulated the position-holding students.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said it was a success for the country that talented Pakistani children had made their place across the world. He congratulated the successful students and said that the major requirement of today’s education was acquiring skills.
He said Pakistan’s 180 million youth were sufficient to meet the country’s needs. The minister said the next 10 to 15 years would be very important for everyone as the world was going to change in the coming days.
Dr Siddiqui said female students in Pakistan were performing better academically than male students, adding that girls were also prominent among the position holders. He said society and hearts must create space for these female students.
