ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja visited the under-construction IT Park in Islamabad, described as the largest and most modern facility of its kind, which has entered the final stages of construction.
During the visit, the minister inspected various floors of the IT Park and reviewed the progress and details of the ongoing construction work.
Relevant officials gave the federal minister a comprehensive briefing on the project’s completion, pace of work and details of various sections.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja expressed satisfaction over the quality of work and issued special instructions to further improve the construction and completion-related matters in line with high standards.
Speaking on the occasion, the federal minister said the state-of-the-art IT Park was a great gift from the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the country’s talented youth.
“Through this project, our youth will gain equal opportunities in modern technology and will not only open employment avenues for themselves in countries across the world, but will also play a key role in improving and strengthening Pakistan’s economy,” she said.
The Islamabad IT Park is expected to prove a milestone in promoting information technology in the country, providing infrastructure of international standards and creating employment opportunities.
The important national project will be formally inaugurated soon by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
