LONDON: Pakistan Press Club UK, a representative body of Pakistani journalists in Britain active for the past 10 years, has announced its newly elected office-bearers.
According to a notification issued by the press club, senior journalist Azhar Javed has been elected chairman, while Haseeb Arsalan has been elected vice chairman.
Senior journalist Shaukat Dar has been elected president, Irfanul Haq senior vice president, Naseem Siddiqui vice president, Safina Khan general secretary, Syed Sabtain Ali information secretary, Parvez Akbar Bhatti finance secretary, Amina Chaudhry joint secretary and Zulfiqar Ali additional joint secretary.
The newly elected office-bearers expressed their resolve to play an active role in promoting unity among Pakistani journalists in Britain, their professional development, journalistic values and the welfare of the media community.
Press Attache at the Pakistan High Commission in London Ali Nawaz Malik congratulated all the newly elected office-bearers and extended best wishes to them.
