RAWALPINDI: A Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) gathering was held at Jamia Masjid Sheikh Muhammad Amin in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Awan Market, Rawalpindi, on August 25, 2026.
The gathering was presided over by Syed Faisal Riaz Hussain Shah, while Deputy Director Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia Pakistan, Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim, supervised the event.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori, Syed Nauman Riaz Hussain Shah, Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi, MPA Ziaullah Shah, Syed Bashir Hussain Shah, Syed Mazhar Sajjad Gilani, members of the Peace Committee, representatives of the business community, and hundreds of men and women attended the gathering.
Addressing the gathering, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the centre of love, devotion and guidance for Muslims.
He paid tribute to Ghazi Ilm Din Shaheed for his sacrifice in the cause of love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and protection of the honour of Prophethood, urging young people to study his life and struggle.
Abbasi said the teachings of Seerah-e-Mustafa (PBUH) require Muslims to conceal the shortcomings of others, avoid spreading hearsay without verification, respect women, and make service to humanity without discrimination their way of life.
Allama Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim said the true expression of love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) lies in following his teachings, reforming one’s character, promoting tolerance and forgiveness, and serving humanity.
Mufti Intikhab Ahmad Noori said Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) gatherings reflect the believers’ spiritual and emotional bond with the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said that, on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) ceremonies are also being organised at the official level across the province.
Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi and other speakers also addressed the gathering. They emphasised that love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should be reflected in practical life through good character, tolerance, forgiveness and service to humanity.
The gathering concluded with a special prayer led by Syed Faisal Riaz Hussain Shah for the security, stability and prosperity of the country and for unity among the Muslim Ummah.
