Islamabad: The Private Schools Network (PSN) Highway Zone organised its annual co-curricular activities ceremony, according to a press release.
The event was dedicated to the late Dr Muhammad Afzal Babar, founder of PSN, on the occasion of his first death anniversary. Speakers paid tribute to his educational and social services.
Hundreds of students, both boys and girls, from dozens of schools affiliated with the Highway Zone participated in Qirat, Hamd, Naat and speech competitions. The students took part with enthusiasm and demonstrated their talent.
In his presidential address, PSN President Maqbool Hussain Dar said co-curricular activities, along with academic education, were essential for the all-round personality development and confidence-building of children. He appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers.
Central Chairman Sports Committee Akbar Ali, Highway Zone President Mahmood Hussain Rafi, General Secretary Tayyab Shehzad, Vice President Maimoona Shafiq and Information Secretary Adeel Abbasi attended the ceremony, along with principals and teachers from different schools. They encouraged the participating students.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a special prayer was offered for the elevation of the ranks and reward in the hereafter for the late Dr Muhammad Afzal Babar. Certificates and encouragement prizes were later distributed among all participating students.
