RAWALPINDI: The National Center of Industrial Biotechnology (NCIB) at PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has organised a specialised training programme on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
According to the centre, the core objective of the training was to align NCIB’s laboratory operations, advanced research methodologies and analytical services with globally recognised international quality benchmarks.
The training is aimed at strengthening the newly offered services to academia and industry, ensuring that NCIB’s testing hub operates under strict international compliance protocols. The programme focused on precision, documentation tracking, risk management and continuous improvement frameworks across laboratory workflows.
Project Director and QMR Prof Dr Abida Raza said that by adopting ISO 9001 standards, NCIB was strengthening its position as a world-class diagnostic and research hub.
She said the adoption of these standards would help ensure that evidence-based scientific data provided to regulatory bodies meets global quality standards.
