Pakistan Adopts ASAN Service Model for Citizen Ease

A delegation from Azerbaijan met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss the implementation of Azerbaijan’s internationally acclaimed ASAN Service model in Pakistan. This collaboration marks the initial steps towards adapting the innovative, citizen-centered framework into Pakistan through the establishment of the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat (PAK) Centre in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation shared valuable insights into their successful ASAN Service, widely recognized for efficiently delivering citizen-focused governmental services. The collaborative exchange laid the groundwork for introducing similar levels of transparency, effectiveness, and convenience in Pakistan.

The forthcoming PAK Centre, modeled after Azerbaijan’s ASAN Service, will be strategically located in Islamabad’s G-9 area. It aims to centralize over 400 services from both public and private sectors under one roof. By integrating digital accessibility and operational transparency, the facility aims to ease routine service procedures, significantly reducing hurdles traditionally faced by citizens.

The decision aligns with the Prime Minister’s broader vision of reshaping public sector delivery in Pakistan. Through the establishment of the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre, authorities seek to enhance governance structures and improve public confidence by making services digital, accessible, and citizen-oriented.
