The federal government has approved an ambitious education initiative worth Rs. 19.25 billion to establish Danish Schools in underserved areas, aiming to provide quality education and brighter futures to children living in remote regions across Pakistan.
This significant decision was taken during a Central Development Working Party (CDWP) meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Professor Ahsan Iqbal. The newly approved Danish Schools will be established in various underserved and remote districts including Qilla Saifullah, Sibi, Zhob, Musakhail, and Dera Bugti, as well as in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
In line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision, the establishment of these schools represents a meaningful step toward educational equality and socio-economic development. By focusing resources and infrastructure in underdeveloped areas, the federal government aims to equip thousands of children with essential education, training, and skills, thus paving the way for a brighter and more prosperous future.
Officials have expressed confidence that the new Danish Schools will drastically improve literacy rates, boost social inclusion, and open new opportunities for personal growth and sustainable development within the target regions.
