On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema, assistant commissioners inspected various markets and shops, imposing fines for violating official price lists to ensure compliance and consumer relief.

Assistant Commissioners visited several markets and retail shops in Rawalpindi district, carefully examining the adherence to officially issued rate lists. The inspection was initiated following explicit orders by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema. Officials issued fines and warnings to merchants who were found charging higher prices than those officially specified.

Deputy Commissioner Cheema stated clearly that strict legal action would be taken without exception against anyone charging above the designated prices. He emphasized that providing relief to the public remains a top priority for the administration.

These actions were directly in line with the instructions given by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who has strongly directed that authorities must ensure consumer protection and control price manipulation. The ongoing monitoring and inspections aim to guarantee fair pricing and deter profiteering in local markets.
