A graceful passing out ceremony was held at the Information Service Academy (ISA), Islamabad, marking the conclusion of the 43rd Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) for officers of the Information Group. Completion of this course is a mandatory requirement for their promotion to Grade-19 within the Civil Services of Pakistan. The ceremony recognized the professional growth, dedication, and achievements of the participating officers, underlining the academy’s critical role in preparing the country’s information specialists for contemporary governance challenges.
Ms. Imrana Wazir, the Executive Director General of the Information Service Academy, graced the ceremony as the chief guest. In her address, she emphasized the crucial function performed by the Information Group in fostering effective communication between the government and the public. She also highlighted the importance of responsible media engagement, praising the officers’ dedication during the course and urging them to uphold professional excellence as they continue their careers in public service.
The officers completed a comprehensive training schedule, beginning with 10 weeks of foundational instruction conducted by the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA). This initial training was complemented by an advanced four-week module at ISA, specifically designed to address contemporary issues in public communication, media strategy, digital transformation, and good governance practices essential for information professionals in the modern age.
Senior officials from ISA were also present during the event, including Director General Ms. Ambreen Gul Shahid, Director Ms. Mehreen Liaquat, and Director Mr. Adnan Akram Bajwa. Their presence demonstrated the importance of continued professional development within the Information Group and acknowledged the efforts of the academy and participants alike.
Certificates and commemorative shields were awarded to the successful officers in recognition of their completion of the course. The group comprised Muhammad Afzal Kolachi, Imdad Ali, Shazim Akhtar, Ms. Saba Yasir, Attequr-Rehman, Hussain Ahmed Wasir, and Hammad ur Rehman Qaisar. These officers have shown exceptional diligence and achievement throughout their training.
