Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) partnered with young volunteers to plant 100 indigenous saplings in the fire-damaged area of Trail 3, reinforcing their commitment to environmental restoration and reforestation.
Under the initiative titled “Reclaiming Nature, One Sapling at a Time,” IWMB organized a tree plantation drive focused on rehabilitating the affected land. The project attracted numerous enthusiastic young volunteers, all committed to aiding nature’s recovery and sustainable preservation.
A total of 100 indigenous saplings were carefully selected to fit the local habitat and soil conditions, enhancing their chances of survival and contributing positively towards biodiversity. Volunteers worked actively alongside IWMB officials, exemplifying community spirit and responsibility towards environmental conservation.
According to IWMB representatives, today’s plantation was more than symbolic; it was a vital restorative step to mitigate recent ecological damage caused by fire outbreaks at Trail 3. Such initiatives not only help regenerate natural ecosystems but also create awareness among the youth regarding environmental responsibility.
This effort aligns closely with IWMB’s broader commitment to creating a greener and more resilient Pakistan. Through continuous collaboration with community groups and young volunteers, IWMB continues to champion sustainable practices and inspire collective action towards environmental conservation.
Community members praised the initiative, recognizing it as a meaningful, practical way to repair and renew areas impacted by environmental challenges. Volunteers expressed great satisfaction at playing an active role in preserving nature for future generations.
IWMB emphasized the importance of ongoing actions and public engagement, encouraging more citizens and organizations to participate actively in future plantation drives. Through collaborative efforts and sustained commitment, they envision restoring damaged areas, improving air quality, and supporting a healthier ecosystem, one sapling at a time.
