Punjab Health Minister, Khawaja Imran Nazir, met with a UNICEF delegation to discuss ongoing and future collaborative projects aimed at improving public health services across the province. The meeting focused on areas such as maternal and child health, immunization programs, and the enhancement of basic healthcare facilities.
During the session, both parties explored strategies to further strengthen existing initiatives while expanding cooperation in key health sectors. Matters relating to promoting the health of mothers and children as well as ensuring effective vaccination coverage were given particular attention.
The UNICEF delegation comprised Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain Ahmad (Health Specialist), Dr. Saira Khan (MNCH Officer), Dr. Khurram Mubeen (Immunization Officer), and Dr. Ghazala Ahsan (Health Officer). Khawaja Imran Nazir expressed his appreciation for UNICEF’s valuable support in Punjab’s health sector and reiterated the government’s commitment to deepening collaboration in pursuit of improved health outcomes for the population.
