**Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Cooperation at SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting**

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, reiterated the country’s dedication to regional collaboration and development during his participation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFMs) meeting held in Tianjin, China.

During the meeting, Senator Dar emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the founding principles of the ‘Shanghai Spirit.’ He highlighted the nation’s active support for initiatives designed to boost regional connectivity, promote sustainable development, foster shared prosperity, and establish lasting peace, all with the aim of unlocking the region’s collective potential.

Senator Dar called attention to the necessity of respecting international law and implementing the relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions to resolve protracted disputes. He cautioned against the dangers of confrontational politics and the application of double standards in international relations.

Highlighting Pakistan’s foreign policy priorities, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the country’s desire for peaceful relations with all its neighbors, reiterating Islamabad’s focus on dialogue and cooperation within the region.

On the margins of the meeting, Senator Dar also welcomed Belarus as the newest member of the SCO, expressing optimism about the growing role of the organization in facilitating regional stability and collaboration.
