**Huawei and Pakistan Engineering Council Discuss Strategic Collaboration in Engineering and Technology**

A senior delegation from Huawei, led by Deputy CEO Ahmed Bilal Masud, visited the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) to explore potential strategic partnerships in the fields of engineering and technology. The meeting focused on fostering greater industry-academia linkages, enhancing research initiatives, and developing new opportunities for young engineers in Pakistan.

Joining the Huawei team were Director Commercial Sales Tan Shuang and Platform CFO Yu Lei, while the PEC was represented by Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir, Additional Registrar Muhammad Sohail, and Assistant Registrar Samar Naseem. The participants exchanged views on collaborative projects, with particular emphasis on strengthening the interface between industry and educational institutions.

Among the key areas discussed were joint research and development in emerging technologies, capacity-building and training programs for early-career engineers, as well as the facilitation of employment and internship opportunities for graduates. The integration of advanced information and communications technology (ICT) into engineering standards and the development of smart infrastructure were also highlighted as potential avenues for cooperation.

To mark the occasion, Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir presented the Huawei delegation with a copy of ENGICON, PEC’s official newsletter, showcasing the council’s achievements and its strategic vision for Pakistan’s engineering sector.

The meeting signals Huawei and PEC’s shared commitment to empowering Pakistan’s engineering community through collaborative innovation, skills development, and the pursuit of future-oriented technological partnerships.
