**Pakistan Air Force Showcases JF-17 Thunder Block-III and Artistic C-130 at Royal International Air Tattoo in UK**

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent has arrived in the United Kingdom to participate in the prestigious Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), marking a prominent display of Pakistan’s aviation prowess and technological innovation at one of the world’s largest military airshows. The delegation features state-of-the-art JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter aircraft as well as a C-130 Hercules transport plane, both of which are set to represent Pakistan on the international stage.

The deployment underscores the PAF’s commitment to demonstrating its operational excellence and the indigenous strength of Pakistan’s aviation industry. In a notable display of advanced capabilities, the JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighters completed successful air-to-air refuelling operations en route to the United Kingdom, supported by a PAF IL-78 aerial refuelling tanker. This intricate mid-air refuelling operation highlights the PAF’s long-range operational reach and reinforces the skill of its air and ground crews in executing extended missions beyond national borders.

The JF-17 Thunder Block-III, equipped with an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar and long-range Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile capability, represents a 4.5 generation multi-role fighter designed for a wide variety of modern combat missions. Its advanced features bolster the PAF’s airpower and national security in the face of contemporary challenges. The aircraft has drawn significant international attention, particularly among aviation enthusiasts and defence analysts in the UK, following recent tensions in South Asia. The JF-17’s participation in RIAT is widely anticipated and serves as a highlight for the global aerospace and defence community.

Adding a cultural and artistic element to the deployment, the PAF’s C-130 Hercules has been adorned with a striking livery themed “Eyes in the Skies,” echoing RIAT’s annual tradition of creative displays. This exclusive design symbolizes vigilance, situational awareness, and the cutting-edge technology of modern air forces, and is expected to draw significant interest during the event, further reflecting the operational heritage and creative identity of the PAF.

Through its participation in RIAT-2025, the Pakistan Air Force aims to strengthen mutual understanding with partner air forces, share operational experiences, and enhance its image as a modern, technologically advanced contributor to international peace and security.
