High-Level Meeting Advances One Health Workforce in Pakistan

Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal chaired a high-level meeting focused on the development and coordination of the One Health Workforce initiative, underscoring the government’s commitment to establishing an integrated, prevention-focused healthcare system in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Minister Kamal praised the direction of the project, stating that it aligns with his vision for a cohesive healthcare framework designed to ensure comprehensive public health across the country. He emphasized the importance of a coordinated approach that brings together various sectors to strengthen disease prevention and response capabilities.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Health, Additional Secretary, DG to Minister, and Professor Dr. Shehzad Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor of the Health Services Academy. The participants discussed strategic steps to advance the One Health Workforce Development and Coordination project, which aims to build capacity and foster collaboration among stakeholders in the health sector.
