**PHA Undertakes Extensive Beautification Projects to Enhance Murree’s Appeal for Tourists**
The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has implemented a series of special beautification initiatives across Murree, aiming to further elevate the city’s scenic beauty and recreational amenities for both tourists and local residents. On the directions of DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, projects including upgraded horticulture works, new floral displays, and revitalized public spaces have been completed throughout the city.
Key among these efforts is the transformation of Lower Topa Park, where comprehensive decoration and landscaping work has significantly increased the park’s attractiveness. Additionally, seven popular sitting areas across Murree have been newly decorated, quickly becoming focal points for tourist activity and relaxation.
PHA Rawalpindi has also installed attractive planters filled with fresh flowers and plants at prominent locations such as Upper Jhika Gali, View Fourth Road, Government House Road, and Kaldna. Around 50,000 vibrant flowers now adorn Murree, enriching the iconic “Queen of Kohsar” with lush color. Decorative designs have also been introduced on city walls and planters, further contributing to Murree’s renowned natural charm.
The city’s green belts and roadways now feature elaborate floral arrangements, creating picturesque views for visitors. These enhancements are coupled with improved systems for the maintenance and care of greenery throughout the city.
Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha emphasized the PHA’s unwavering commitment to maintaining and amplifying Murree’s beauty. He directed staff to ensure high standards in cleanliness, horticulture, and overall city ambience, highlighting that providing quality recreational facilities is a top priority. Ranjha further expressed the Authority’s dedication to creating a greener, cleaner environment by making full use of available resources and encouraging public cooperation in these efforts.
Additional beautification projects are currently underway, reflecting the ongoing resolve of the PHA to provide the people of Murree and its visitors with a captivating and environmentally-friendly urban experience.
