**Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Launches Ambitious Monsoon Tree Plantation Drive under Billion Trees Plus Project**

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched an extensive monsoon tree plantation campaign as part of its Billion Trees Plus Project, aiming to promote environmental sustainability and combat climate change. Large-scale planting activities are underway across various districts, reflecting the province’s commitment to ecological preservation.

In Abbottabad alone, 785 fruit-bearing and 2,055 other types of saplings have been planted so far. Authorities have set a target of planting 43,000 saplings in the district by August 10. This initiative has seen enthusiastic participation from school and college students, whose involvement has brought renewed energy and community support to the ongoing efforts.

Tree plantation is recognized as both an aesthetic enhancement of the landscape and a vital means of protecting natural habitats. Trees serve as a natural shield against environmental pollution and provide essential ecological benefits for all living beings. The campaign encourages citizens to contribute by planting trees, emphasizing the crucial role each individual plays in building a greener and safer future for coming generations.
