**Sindh Civil Society and State Institutions Join Forces for Climate Justice**

The Provincial Ombudsman Office of Sindh recently hosted a significant event aimed at enhancing collaboration between state institutions and civil society to deliver improved public services, with a particular focus on climate justice. Facilitated by the Chairperson of the National Humanitarian Network (NHN) Sindh and the Community Development Foundation (CDF), the gathering brought together NHN members from across the province to foster strategic dialogue on inclusive governance.

A central highlight of the event was the introduction of the Ombudsman Office’s new Climate Justice Unit, a milestone initiative designed to address climate-related grievances and promote equitable solutions for affected communities. The creation of this unit represents a decisive step towards integrating climate responsiveness in the province’s justice and governance frameworks.

Participants also discussed expanding the Ombudsman Office’s capacity to respond to public complaints, aiming to enhance public accountability and ensure better outreach in underserved areas. The dialogue underscored the importance of sustained partnership between government bodies and civil society organizations in addressing complex challenges such as climate change.

Organizers and attendees expressed gratitude for the support of all partners involved, emphasizing that continued cooperation is essential for advancing transparent, just, and inclusive governance across Sindh.
