Leaders of two major business chambers in Pakistan have agreed to work closely together on strategies to boost the country’s economic strength and attract greater foreign investment. During a high-level meeting in Islamabad, Rehan Naseem Bharara, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), and Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), pledged to pursue joint initiatives aimed at making national policies more supportive of businesses and exports.
Discussions between the two presidents centered on the current economic challenges facing Pakistan. They underscored the need for pragmatic, business-friendly policies and a stronger focus on exports to drive sustainable growth. Both leaders agreed that collaboration between regional trade chambers is essential for advocating positive change and positioning Pakistan as an attractive destination for investors.
Nasir Mansoor Qureshi provided updates on ICCI’s key projects, including the development of a modern expo center in Islamabad, designed to facilitate trade exhibitions and international cooperation. He also highlighted fruitful business outreach efforts in international markets such as Qatar and Bangladesh, which aim to broaden Pakistan’s global business connections.
Rehan Naseem Bharara commended the ICCI for its leadership in policy advocacy and for helping transform Islamabad into a destination for global investors. He stressed the importance of unity among business bodies, noting that inter-chamber cooperation sets a strong example for unified economic progress.
Other senior members from ICCI, including Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, Naveed Malik, Ashfaq Chattaha, Fahim Khan, and Najib Ellahi Malik, attended the meeting, signaling broad support for increased collaboration among Pakistan’s leading business organizations.
