PM Shehbaz Sharif Visits Gilgit Baltistan for Flood Relief

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan for a one-day visit, where he was welcomed by the region’s Governor Syed Mehdi Shah and Chief Minister Gulbar Khan. The visit comes in the wake of recent heavy rains and floods in the area.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by key federal ministers, including Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Engineer Amir Maqam, Climate Change Minister Dr. Musadiq Malik, Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, and Coordinator to the Prime Minister Shabbir Usmani.

During his stay, the Prime Minister will meet with individuals affected by the recent weather-related disasters and oversee the distribution of relief funds. He is scheduled to receive a detailed briefing on the damages caused by the floods and heavy rainfall in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Prime Minister will also hold meetings with both the Governor and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan to discuss the ongoing situation and review relief efforts.
