Youth Leadership in Pakistan’s Disaster Risk and Climate Action

Mr. Bilal Anwar, Chief Executive Officer of the National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF), was welcomed as the Guest of Honour at the Pre-Local Conference of Youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an event focused on empowering youth in addressing climate challenges. The gathering took place at the Governor House in Peshawar and brought together young leaders and stakeholders committed to building a climate-resilient Pakistan.

During his keynote address, Mr. Anwar highlighted the vital role young people play in disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation. He stressed the importance of institutional collaboration to strengthen Pakistan’s resilience to climate-related disasters and underscored NDRMF’s commitment to this cause.
