Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) demonstrated its support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by observing Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. The university marked the occasion with a series of events aimed at highlighting the hardships faced by Kashmiris following the Indian government’s removal of Article 370, which had provided the region with special autonomous status. This move has led to increased human rights concerns and unrest in the area.
The Directorate of Student Affairs, along with faculty and students, joined a solidarity rally organized at the Rawalpindi Arts Council. The rally was held to raise public awareness about the ongoing struggles in Kashmir and to urge the international community to play an active role in supporting Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
Additionally, the Rawalpindi Arts Council hosted an art exhibition that displayed evocative works illustrating the Kashmiri people’s resistance, suffering, resilience, and hope. Through these artistic expressions, participants aimed to shed light on the voices and stories that often remain unheard amid the conflict.
