TikTok, in partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of IT & Telecom and the National Information Technology Board, has introduced its STEM Feed for Pakistani users, marking a significant step toward promoting science and technology education in the country. The launch event was held at the Pak-China Center in Islamabad and brought together key government officials and stakeholders to emphasize the importance of digital learning.
Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, addressed the audience, highlighting the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering opportunities in technology fields. They praised platforms like TikTok for supporting efforts to cultivate digital skills and knowledge among Pakistan’s youth, positioning the country for a smarter and more technologically advanced future.
The newly launched STEM Feed aims to make learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics more accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all Pakistanis. By breaking down complex scientific concepts and presenting them in engaging ways, the feed is designed to spark curiosity and encourage discovery, modeling itself after similar successful international initiatives.
This initiative is expected to enhance digital literacy and provide new educational opportunities, supporting the government’s broader vision of building a skilled and innovative workforce for the digital economy.
