Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, is in the United States for a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. During his official visit, he has engaged with top US political and military leaders, as well as representatives of the Pakistani community living in America, according to the country’s military media wing.
This visit follows his earlier trip in June, during which he became the first serving Pakistani army chief to meet face-to-face with a sitting US president, attending a luncheon with President Donald Trump. In those discussions, Field Marshal Munir emphasized the significant opportunity to develop a broader and more multifaceted relationship between Pakistan and the United States, grounded in mutual respect.
The ongoing interactions reflect Pakistan’s efforts to deepen diplomatic, security, and community ties with the US, seeking collaboration on a range of issues important to both countries.
