Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Campus II has launched its 2025 plantation drive in partnership with the Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan (RCIM), aiming to promote a greener and more sustainable environment on campus.
As part of the initiative, RCIM contributed 200 saplings of various tree species to be planted across Campus II. The tree-planting event brought together a range of participants, including FJWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, Director Campus II Prof. Dr. Azra Yasmin, RCIM President Admiral Shahid Saeed, members of the Rotary Club, as well as faculty and staff from Campus II. Together, they planted trees to support environmental conservation and climate action goals.
During the ceremony, Admiral Shahid Saeed announced honorary membership of RCIM for FJWU’s Vice Chancellor in recognition of her support for the initiative. The event concluded with the exchange of souvenirs, reflecting the strong collaboration between FJWU and RCIM in furthering sustainable practices and community engagement.
