During Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations at Dargah Mu’alla Gulshan-e-Sultan-ul-Hind, Ajmeri, the Custodian of Ajmer Sharif, Diwan Syed Aaly Habeeb Ali Khan, delivered an impassioned address highlighting the significance of freedom, the sacrifices that made Pakistan’s creation possible, and the importance of loyalty to one’s homeland.
The Custodian emphasized that Independence Day holds deep meaning as it commemorates the establishment of Pakistan through the hard work, prayers, and sacrifices of generations past. He paid tribute to his ancestor, Sheikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Diwan Syed Aaly Rasool Ali Khan, a former Custodian of Ajmer Sharif who played a pivotal role in the Pakistan independence movement. By uniting spiritual leaders and intellectuals across India, he rallied support for Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Muslim League, sacrificing his custodianship, wealth, and estate for the cause of Pakistan and ultimately migrating to the newly formed nation.
Diwan Syed Aaly Habeeb Ali Khan reflected on the value of freedom, urging people to appreciate the liberty they enjoy. He drew attention to the struggles faced by Kashmiris and Palestinians, noting that oppressed nations understand the true price of independence as they continue to fight for basic rights.
He called on citizens to honor the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for Pakistan’s independence, suggesting that prayers be said in their memory. Above all, he encouraged love, service, and loyalty to the nation, expressing hope that Pakistan will continue to progress and prosper. He concluded with prayers for the nation’s success and relief for its people from hardships.
