State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar highlighted the importance of unity, education, and youth empowerment during Independence Day celebrations at the National Skills University (NSU) in Islamabad. The event, marked by patriotic performances and a ceremony in the university’s Al-Mukhtar Auditorium, brought together students, faculty, and senior officials to honor Pakistan’s 78th year of independence and pay tribute to national values.
Ms. Qamar was welcomed by the Founding Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, as well as other university leaders. The celebration featured spirited performances by students that showcased national pride and received enthusiastic applause from attendees. The proceedings also included a flag-raising ceremony, reinforcing a sense of shared purpose and patriotism within the university community.
The State Minister participated in the Marka-e-Haq walk, expressing solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces and recognizing their ongoing efforts to defend the country’s borders and protect its ideological identity during challenging times. In her remarks, Ms. Qamar emphasized the significance of an independent and free Pakistan, encouraging citizens to unite in support of national development and resilience.
She called upon the audience to dedicate their energy toward building a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan, stating that Independence Day should serve as a reminder of the ongoing work required to secure the country’s future. Stressing the importance of both education and empowering the youth, Ms. Qamar described these as foundational pillars for the nation’s growth and future success, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of hope and determination.
