The Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent hosted a vibrant Independence Day celebration, bringing together members of the Pakistani community, participants of the Central Asia Rally–2025, and distinguished guests. The event highlighted the spirit of unity among Pakistanis living in Uzbekistan and showcased the strong ties between Pakistan and Central Asia.
The ceremony began with a flag-hoisting led by Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, followed by the reading of official messages from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister. Key speeches were delivered by MNA Syed Rafiullah, Convener of the Pakistan–Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, along with remarks from the Ambassador and the leader of the Central Asia Rally–2025 bikers. Representing the local Pakistani community, Mr. Akhter Amin shared heartfelt reflections on the significance of the day.
In his address, Syed Rafiullah paid homage to Pakistan’s historic achievements, emphasizing that unity empowers the nation to overcome any challenge. The celebration concluded with Ambassador Ahmed Farooq distributing certificates to the participants of the Central Asia Rally–2025, recognizing their remarkable journey from Lahore to Uzbekistan by road. The event served as a testament to the enduring patriotism of the Pakistani diaspora and the growing bonds between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
