Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, has expressed deep sorrow and condolences to Dr. Anis Ahmed, Rector of Riphah University, over the passing of his brother and renowned scholar, Professor Khurshid Ahmad.
Professor Ahsan Iqbal commended Professor Khurshid Ahmad’s significant contributions to contemporary scholarship. He highlighted Professor Ahmad’s important role in effectively presenting Islam’s perspective in the West, promoting the Islamic economic system, and providing in-depth analysis of Islamic teachings in light of modern challenges. The minister recognized Professor Ahmad’s academic and intellectual services as highly valuable.
Professor Ahsan Iqbal prayed for the departed soul to be granted a high place in paradise and for the bereaved family to find patience and strength during this difficult time.
