The country’s divided educational system is a major barrier to achieving both national and international educational goals, say representatives of the Private Schools Network. At a meeting held for the 13th Zonal Elections, Dr. Muhammad Afzal Babar, Founding and Central President of the organization, highlighted the significant role played by low-income private educational institutions. These schools, operated on a self-help basis, are educating millions of children and saving the government billions of rupees.

Dr. Babar noted that, despite limited resources, many educated young people are boosting literacy rates through honorable self-employment. He praised these efforts for strengthening the national movement for educational democracy. Congratulating Election Commissioner Haji Abdul Nadeem Mughal and the newly elected zonal officials, Dr. Babar urged them to fulfill their responsibilities by nurturing the younger generation into responsible and honest citizens.

Maqbool Hussain Dar, Central General Secretary and guest of honor, emphasized that for the past 26 years, the Private Schools Network, representing hundreds of low-income private schools in Islamabad under its founding leadership, has contributed to national educational development. He expressed satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation of members in the Bhara Kahu zone’s elections, which he believes sets a positive example for the other eleven zones. Dar also announced the re-launch of the academic and extracurricular activities calendar.

The newly elected officials for the Bhara Kahu zone include President Muhammad Azam Khan, Vice President (Female) Samira Haroon, Vice President (Male) Alamgir Khan, General Secretary Mohsin Sarwar Abbasi, Finance Secretary Hafiz Muhammad Arshad, Information Secretary Saeedur Rehman Tahir, Joint Secretary Muhammad Sami, and Coordinators Sardar Muhammad Ali, Faisal Bashir, and Muhammad Jameel Khan. Farhat Nasir Qureshi was appointed as Chairperson of the Women’s Wing. The oath of office was administered by Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, Chairman of the Islamabad Board of Education. The meeting concluded with prayers led by Hafiz Muhammad Arshad for the souls of the deceased.
