Bacha Khan Airport Welcomes GACA Delegation for Security Review

A delegation from Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has completed a security evaluation at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation in aviation safety and security.

The seven-member GACA team was led by Air Commodore (Retired) Shahid Qadir, Director AVSEC. During their visit, the delegation thoroughly inspected several crucial areas of the airport, including the departure lounges, airside operations, the cargo complex, and the perimeter fence, to assess existing security protocols and infrastructure.

Officials from Bacha Khan International Airport welcomed the Saudi delegation, marking the occasion with an exchange of shields and souvenirs. The visit underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen international collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the field of civil aviation. Both parties emphasized their commitment to working together to uphold and advance global aviation security standards.
