A national conference on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad was held in Peshawar as part of the Ashra-e-Rehmat ul-Alameen events, drawing large crowds and culminating in awards for top performers in provincial Naat and Qira’at competitions.
The event was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Auqaf and Religious Affairs and focused on Seerat al-Nabi, the study of the Prophet’s biography and character. The conference took place in a local hall in Peshawar and formed part of a series of commemorative activities marking the ten-day observance.
Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur attended as the chief guest. Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Muhammad Adnan Qadri, members of the provincial cabinet, prominent scholars from various schools of thought, students, teachers and representatives of civil society were also present, reflecting broad participation across the province.
Speakers addressed themes related to the Prophet’s life and its contemporary relevance, and the gathering provided a platform for interscholarly dialogue and community engagement. The program concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding performers in the provincial Naat and Qira’at competitions, honoring those who achieved top positions.
