Senator Syedal Khan, the Acting Chairman of the Senate, visited the residence of Raja Zafar-ul-Haq to inquire after his health and convey best wishes for a swift recovery. During the visit the Acting Chairman offered prayers for his early and complete recovery and presented a bouquet as a gesture of goodwill. Former MPA Raja Muhammad Ali accompanied the Acting Chairman on the call.
Raja Zafar-ul-Haq has been under medical treatment following a fracture sustained in a recent fall. Senator Syedal Khan expressed hope that Raja Zafar-ul-Haq will soon return to his normal routine and reiterated the prayers of colleagues and well-wishers for his health and long life.
The Acting Chairman paid tribute to Raja Zafar-ul-Haq’s decades of public service, noting his roles as Leader of the House, Leader of the Opposition in the Upper House, his tenure in key ministerial portfolios and his service as Secretary General of the Muslim World League. Senator Syedal Khan described Raja Zafar-ul-Haq as a leader whose integrity, dignity and character have remained beyond question.
Senator Syedal Khan said Raja Zafar-ul-Haq is a refined and statesmanlike politician who has dedicated his life to Pakistan’s progress and the consolidation of democratic norms. He added that Raja Zafar-ul-Haq is a valued asset of the Pakistan Muslim League and that leaders and parliamentarians across party lines have extended their best wishes for his recovery. The Acting Chairman concluded by expressing hope that Allah grants him a full and speedy recovery.
