Adventure Foundation Pakistan held its Annual General Meeting at the Adventure Complex in Islamabad on December 9, 2025, where the general body elected a new Council to lead AFP into the next term. The meeting was chaired by outgoing President Ali Hasan Habib, who thanked members and volunteers for their contributions and presented the minutes of the previous AGM of October 26, 2024, which were approved.
The performance review for the period July 2024 to June 2025 was presented, detailing progress across outdoor education, adventure learning, youth engagement, and environmental responsibility. The audited financial statements for the financial year 2024-25 were tabled and unanimously approved, reflecting transparent financial stewardship as AFP expands its programmes.
Discussion of the proposed activity plan for 2025-26 highlighted a recommendation to introduce additional winter programmes to broaden participation and learning opportunities. The plan seeks to consolidate AFP’s focus on safe, structured outdoor learning and to deepen youth leadership development across Pakistan.
The general body elected the new Council with Syed Abu Ahmad Akif unanimously chosen as President. Vice Presidents elected are Col (R) Abbas Hussain Naqvi, Dr. Adnan Latif, and Ms. Jahan Ara Mueen, while Brig (R) Ghulam Haider was named Honorary Secretary (Public Relations).
Council members include Dr. Tasnim Azim, Azal Zahir, Bushra Javed, Rab Nawaz, and Huma Mustafa. Following the election, outgoing President Ali Hasan Habib administered the oath of office to the newly elected team, marking a formal transition of responsibilities.
The meeting closed with formal appreciation for the outgoing Council and a reaffirmation of Adventure Foundation Pakistan’s commitment to promoting safe, responsible, and educational outdoor activities. AFP plans to continue pioneering experiential learning in nature, emphasising inclusion, environmental stewardship, and youth leadership across the country.
