AI Leaders Fellowship helps 100 Pakistani enterprises adopt AI with Google Cloud masterclasses, mentorship and POC support — strengthen capacity for Digital Nation Pakistan.

The Ministry of IT & Telecom, working through the Pakistan Software Export Board, supported the launch in Karachi of the AI Leaders Fellowship Pakistan, delivered in partnership with Google Cloud, SAP and TallyMarks Consulting. The initiative brings global technology partners together with local enterprises to strengthen national readiness for artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

The Fellowship aims to help 100 leading Pakistani organisations strengthen their capacity to adopt and operationalise AI through a structured, multi-modal learning programme. Participants will engage in expert-led masterclasses on topics such as agentic and ethical AI, receive one-to-one consultations, take part in knowledge transfer sessions, and use specialised e-learning labs and sandboxes to explore production-focused AI applications aligned to operational needs.

Beneficiaries of the AI Leaders Fellowship will have complimentary access to Google Cloud’s Skills platform, hands-on exposure to new AI tools and releases, technical mentorship and cross-industry peer engagement. Selected organisations may gain case study visibility and eligible projects can receive technical partnership support for proof of concept development, including One Google engagement opportunities.

Ms Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, highlighted that building skills and institutional capacity through global collaboration is essential to Pakistan’s digital future and the Prime Minister’s vision of a Digital Nation Pakistan.

Farhan Qureshi, Country Director at Google Pakistan, said the Fellowship represents a deepening of investment in local talent and that empowering businesses with the right knowledge and skills will help translate AI into tangible benefits for communities across the country.

Fahad Zahid, Interim Country Manager of SAP Pakistan, noted the collaboration with Google Cloud will enable enterprises to modernise core systems and embed intelligence into processes to generate sustainable business impact.

The Karachi kickoff featured masterclasses from SAP, Google Cloud and Google Developer Experts and now transitions into a multi-month engagement during which participating companies will work closely with international experts, explore responsible AI development and contribute to the Ministry’s broader digital transformation agenda.
