Bacha Khan International Airport successfully conducted the second coordination meeting in preparation for the upcoming Full Scale Airport Emergency Exercise (FSAEE-2025), aiming to ensure comprehensive emergency preparedness. The session, held at the Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA) Conference Room in Peshawar, was attended by senior representatives from various aviation and emergency response stakeholders.
The meeting drew active participation from sectional heads of the PAA alongside delegates from the Pakistan Air Force, Army Aviation Unit 09, commercial airlines, and ground handling agencies. Additionally, airport health authorities and emergency first responders joined the discussion, underscoring the importance of coordinated teamwork during airport emergencies.
Emergency services were prominently represented by Rescue 1122, local hospitals such as Fauji Foundation Hospital and Combined Military Hospital (CMH), as well as ambulance services including Edhi Ambulance. Their presence highlighted a strong commitment to providing prompt and efficient responses during crisis scenarios.
A comprehensive presentation was delivered by Crash Fire & Rescue Officer Mr. Naveed Sheikh and Assistant Director RFFS Mr. Kamran Zeb, outlining key findings from the previous emergency exercise. The presenters also detailed the strategic objectives and execution plan for the forthcoming FSAEE-2025.
Participants further examined footage from the previous exercise, facilitating an informative discussion on identified challenges and existing operational gaps. This exchange of ideas, coupled with practical recommendations noted during a detailed question-and-answer session, will serve as important input in refining preparations for the final coordination meeting prior to the exercise.
